Employee ServicesJohn Tyznik, MD
Dr. John Tyznik is a graduate of The Ohio State University, where he obtained a Bachelor of Science in Psychology. He graduated from The University of Cincinnati College of Medicine in 1981, and then completed a three year residency program in Family Practice at Mount Carmel. He is board-certified in both Family Practice and Sports Medicine by the American Board of Family Medicine. Dr. Tyznik serves as Associate Director for the Mount Carmel Family Practice Residency Program and is an Assistant Clinical Professor at The Ohio State University College of Medicine. He has served as the team physician for Reynoldsburg High School for many years, and is the physician director for the Columbus Marathon. He is a member of the Society of Teachers of Family Medicine and a charter member of the American Medical Society for Sports Medicine.
Dr. Tyznik was born and raised in Columbus, and now resides in Gahanna with his wife Jude, and their children Katie, Patrick, Michael, and Thomas.
